Class treat for local school!
Jordan O’Brien from St Joseph’s National School
in Temperainey, Arklow was the hero of his class when he won them all a fantastic
trip to the Bridgewater Shopping Centre! Jordan had entered the centre’s
Halloween fancy dress competition back in October and was crowned the lucky winner.
Jordan’s prize was a fun filled day out in Bridgewater
Shopping Centre for him and his classmates. The class,
who were accompanied by their teacher Aideen Sheil, started their
day off with a trip the Gaiety Group Cinema in the centre followed
lunch courtesy of Abrakebabra in the food court. Centre
manager Greg Devitt comments, “I’m glad that
Jordan and his classmates have enjoyed their day trip to the
centre. We had a great response to the fancy dress competition
and there were some great entries, so Jordan should be really
proud of himself for coming first!”
Bridgewater Shopping Centre is located in the heart of Arklow
and is home to more than 40 lifestyle and fashion outlets. The
centre is open seven days a week, from 9am-6pm Mon-Sat and
12-6pm Sundays and features some fantastic high street stores
such as TK Maxx, Next, Argos, New Look and Dunnes. So
why not head to Bridgewater and try something different today!
Time Capsule
St Joseph’s National School, Templerainey
and Arklow Community College were the winners of the Bridgewater
Centre Schools Time Capsule Competition in 2008. Students
were asked to put together a time capsule which they felt reflected
the changing face of the town in 2008, which will be kept closed
until the grand re-opening in 2032! The judges were extremely
impressed with the high standard of all the entries, the time
and effort that had been put in to creating the capsules. The
winning schools each received a bursary of €2,000 towards
sports equipment. Click
